Hey everybody! My name is Faun, and this is my first post for my EDM510 class. This is not my first time in the blogging world, I had to create a blog for EDM310 as well, which I was I chose to go with Blogger, simply because I am more familiar with the site. I love blogs, and I subscribe to many in my own life. I love that it connects the author to the reader in a personal way, and I look forward to sharing my thoughts, ideas, and a few assignments I am sure, with all of you. To begin this week, I had to create a matrix on the four learning theory perspectives discussed in chapter 2, which is something I have never done before. I started off by simply googling, "How to create a matrix in MS Word?" It retrieved my directions using three steps, which seemed almost too easy, but I went with it, and soon had a template for a matrix. Everything was going great, I had my information, and my pretty color design, and that is when I realized I had written way too much to fit into the matrix. So I condensed what I had to say down to a few bullet points, but I have to admit, I had a lot of issues formatting my information. I would have liked my font to be larger, and as an English student, I can take a single sentence and write a novel out of it, so I feel like a took a lot of information out, but maybe that is what makes the matrix more concise and accessible. I looked at some images of other matrix's, but many seem either really simple or overly complicated. In the end, I decided to just stick with what I had and not overthink it. In the future, I may attempt creating another matrix using Excel, so that my formatting can get straightened out. In any case, it was a definite learning experience for me.
